The Holy Child (2017)
Multidisciplinary & Interactive Performance
The Holy Child is a multidisciplinary performance combining original music, electronics, acoustic instruments and audience participation through mobile phones. Based on an original story by Kaori, the work invites audiences into an interactive musical experience where technology and live performance become part of the narrative.
Moonflower (2016)
Contemporary Dance Performance
Based on an original concept by Alexandre May and Kaori, Moonflower explores the complexity of human relationships through dance and original music. Three lives intersect, connect and transform, revealing how fragile encounters can evolve into emotional turbulence and chaos.
I Am Here (2013)
Music Theatre Arrangement
Created for a music theatre production, this arrangement of Jennifer Hudson's "I Am Here" reinterprets the song for live performance, shaping its musical expression to serve the dramatic context of the production.
Heart Sutra (2020)
Original Composition
Composed during the COVID-19 pandemic, Heart Sutra is inspired by the Japanese Heart Sutra, reflecting themes of stillness, compassion and impermanence. Written during a time of global uncertainty, the work explores the expressive power of the human voice and music as a space for reflection and connection.
Mercurial Sparks (2016)
Commissioned Composition
Mercurial Sparks is an original composition commissioned by De Doelen for Ensemble Klang. Premiered at Gaudeamus Muziekweek in Utrecht, the work explores a dynamic interplay of musical textures and energetic gestures within a contemporary ensemble setting.

Commissioned by renowned designer Barbara van Druten, Between Worlds is a cinematic video portfolio combining music and visual storytelling to capture the essence of her creative practice.
El lado oscuro de Atenea (The Hidden Side of Athena) (2017)
Contemporary Jazz Composition
El lado oscuro de Atenea (The Hidden Side of Athena) is an original composition for large jazz ensemble by Kaori. Inspired by the complexity and duality of the Greek goddess Athena, the work explores contrasting musical textures, rhythmic energy and expressive orchestration. The project was accompanied by original artwork by Josep Ramón, creating a dialogue between music and visual art.

Arrangement for Piano Trio
An original arrangement of Chick Corea's Crystal Silence, created by Kaori for piano trio. The arrangement reinterprets the lyrical and spacious character of the original composition while offering a fresh perspective for live performance.
Ontheemden. Is er een antwoord? (Year)
Art Song
Composed within the span of a single week, Ontheemden. Is er een antwoord? ("Displaced. Is There an Answer?") is an original art song by Kaori that reflects on themes of displacement, belonging and the search for hope in times of uncertainty.
Welcome (2019)
Interactive Performance
Created for Laurenskerk Rotterdam, Welcome is an interactive performance conceived and composed by Kaori. Using wine glasses filled with water alongside live instrumentalists, the work combines composed musical material with guided improvisation, allowing performers to respond to the acoustics of the space and the unfolding interaction with the audience. The result is a unique sonic experience where composition, improvisation and participation meet.
